Sounds like you got a good deal!
The best advice I can give you is to check with your local community college, and get signed up for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's rider course. I'd been riding off and on for years before I took the course, and I still consider it the best money I have spent on anything to do with motorcycles! You get to practice things you hope you never have to do!
